Development Teams

Our development teams are out in the Rossendale community every day delivering quality activities including, holiday play schemes, in-school activities, large-scale events and health related support to get many members of our local community making a positive impact on peoples lives.

Healthy Communities

Working across Rossendale, our team works in partnership with the PCT and other agencies to deliver activities and projects to help members of our community to get back to activity levels which improve their health and life chances. Based at Haslingden Sports Centre, the team deliver the Rossendale GP referral scheme with outreach work at Fearns Community High School and Whitworth Swimming Pool. The team also delivers cardiac rehabilitation, weight management and the ever popular walking to health program.

Sports Development

With some of the best coaches in the region, the Trust’s Sports Development Team excels in cricket, football, badminton and street dance. Our specialised summer holiday programs are often full to overflowing. Programs are delivered across the major school holidays, which could be just what you are looking for. Our coaches work across many of the schools in the Borough during term time, supporting the work of the Schools Sports Partnership - so our coaches are well known.

Arts Development

Our arts development work has specialised on the organisation of large-scale events across the Borough. With the exciting developments around the Adrenaline Gateway, The Irwell Sculpture Trail and the development of a larger event calendar, arts development will continue to play an active role in our work.

Major Projects

The development team also supports major project developments like the Marl Pits Community Sports Village and the Adrenaline Gateway, working with community stakeholders to drive the development of the sporting and cultural infrastructure of Rossendale.
