Alder Grange
Rossendale Leisure Trust works in partnership with Alder Grange Community and Technology School to provide community access to the school’s impressive NOF funded sports hall and fitness centre. Situated on Calder Road in Rawtenstall, the centre was completed in 2006 and comprises of a four-court sports hall and community gym. The centre is a hive of activity when it opens up for public access after the school day and over the weekend.
Hire
The centre is available to hire at extremely competitive rates and is now home to a range of clubs in the area. We offer facilities for a wide range of sports including, football, basketball, cricket, badminton, volleyball, handball and indoor training. So, if you want to book after school courses for children and adults, or you are planning your own children’s party, you should give the centre a call and find out what exactly is on offer
Health and Fitness
For those of you who wish to tone up and get into shape
the community gym is on hand to get your own personal training plan in
place and start that fitness campaign you have always promised yourself.
There is nothing like a good workout at the end of the day to get both
your body and mind working together. A wide range of aerobic and instructed
classes are programmed throughout the week which make use of the schools
wider facilities including Pilates, spinning, bums and tums aerobics and
cardio work out. Exercising as part of a class is always a great option,
not only do you meet new friends but you will also feel great in no time.
Extended Activities
Alder Grange also has some special activities on offer including the interactive sports walls and dance mats, which keep you working out with a little bit of rhythm and a whole lot of fun. We also have our own trampoline sessions for the children, which are run to the British Trampoline framework providing certificates and accreditation, which shows you can be rewarded in many ways just by having fun and exercising.
